Sarah started competing at 16, winning the English nationals at Woolacombe Beach. From there sponsors started rolling in and more titles were to follow. She has the knowledge, experience and commitment to get this far and should undoubtedly be your first choice as instructor.

Walking On Waves Surf School gives you the opportunity to be coached by one of Britains top surfers, Sarah Whiteley.

"I like to add a personal touch to my coaching. More women than ever are learning to surf and children as young as 5 are picking up a surfboard and catching waves! Young or old, it really doesn't matter... Its stimulating, healthy, its fresh air and definately great fun... Happy Days!"

Catching a passing wave, she starts sliding towards the shore with her legs pointing elegantly towards the sky. Sarah is the surfing instructor at the four-star Saunton Sands Hotel in North Devon.
